First of all, you have to stay focused. It is easy to spend several hours on the computer when you are on an online gift shopping adventure. I once spent five hours looking for a present for my nephew. The problem is that you can’t be sure whether or not you are getting the right thing.

It is important to treat the shopping excursion as a session, too. Give yourself a limited amount of time and take a break. You don’t have to make a purchase.
