Exercise is vital in the development of children and here is the perfect activity that will encourage exercise and fun at the same time Rock Climbing. Now I am not talking about taking your child to climb Mt. Everest but consider climbing as a source of fun. Climbing provides many benefits that aid in the physical and mental development. Kids are natural born climbers. We are constantly telling our kids to stop climbing on the counters.
There are many places to take children climbing. If you live near the mountains great, that is an excellent source of climbing activity. If you do not, there are parks with areas for play for children and a playground is not complete with some sort of jungle gym made for the express purpose to encourage kids to climb. If there, weather is not appropriate for outdoor climbing many gyms offer indoor rock climbing and provide instruction for children of all ages. So get out, get those muscles moving, and let your children enjoy the art of rock climbing.
One of the ultimate fun things to do in the backyard, especially if your kids have friends over is setting up of volleyball net. Kids love to play volleyball and this sport is a great source of exercise as well as providing a wonderful time for the family and friends. If you buy a croquet set and horseshoes you will a variety of backyard toys that will keep you and those you spend your summer with busy all day. Therefore, through a few burgers on the grill, play some volleyball, and have a great summer!
