Enter any small child's bedroom, and you will most likely be greeted by a large amount of stuffed animals. Enter the same child's room a few years later, and you will still see some stuffed animals, but you might very well see one or two that you encountered on your visit some years ago. Fast forward to the college years, and you may still see that one or two favorite stuffed animals. It appears as though this love for stuffed animals is learned in childhood and then perpetuated through adolescence and even well into adulthood. The appeal of kids' stuffed toys has actually found its way into the hearts and wallets of steadfast toy collectors for whom there is money to be made and spent in vintage and rare stuffed animals!
For a child, a stuffed animal is a friend that can go anywhere, a little piece of home in strange surroundings, reassurance in scary places, and something to keep the boredom at bay. Consider these wonderful uses for stuffed animals:
They may accompany children to the doctor or hospital.
They can be taken on any airplane, ship, or bus without passengers complaining about the noise.
They can help children sleep at night when the nightlight is finally being retired.
They are wonderful for budding veterinarians to ply their imaginary trade.
They love to play pretend.
They are the one kind of dog that mom and dad won't mind having at the dinner table.
They can take their baths in the washing machine and don't need expensive shampoos or grooming.

They can go on a field trip, camping expedition, or sleepover party without having to ask for permission.
They will go to bed when the children go to bed. (And parents won't mind having them sleeping up on the bed, either.)
They will get up when the children will get up.
They always understand and never talk back, no matter how tough things may get at home.
As you can see, stuffed animals have many uses, and for children they are second only to the security blanket that some still like to keep in the car until they are past seven years of age. Of course, at some point children outgrow even the most beloved stuffed toy, yet it is noteworthy that they will never throw it away. It may be given away or passed down to the next generation, but it does not go into the trash. Similarly, there are even those who will go to great lengths to fix and have repaired these reminders of happy childhood days.
Of course, not only children love stuffed toys, but advertisers are quite fond of them as well. Manufacturing of stuffed animals and other toys is rather inexpensive, and thus dreams come true for companies on the lookout for giveaways. What better way to engage the minds and hearts of future consumers than by giving them a little something to snuggle and play with? What better way to introduce them to the size, shape, color, or name of a product than by cleverly incorporating it somehow in the design of a stuffed toy?
So whether you are shopping for a small child, an older college bound child, or perhaps your loved one on Valentine's Day, stuffed animals say "I love you" loud and clear, and many will agree that they bring back happy childhood memories. Because they can easily be tied to pleasant memories and well wishes, it is fun to keep stuffed animals around, and it is no surprise therefore that especially dating couples seem to be so fond of exchanging these little tokens of affection with one another. What about you? Is there someone close to you who would love to receive a little stuffed toy or stuffed animals? Perhaps there is a child in your extended family or circle of friends? Or maybe there is a budding romance in your life and you would like to make sure that your beloved has a daily reminder that you love her or him? Purchase a special stuffed animal and make sure your love is visible every hour of the day or night!
